Wapaw Bay Resources Inc. is a Canadian company founded in 1999 to develop a leonardite deposit in northern Saskatchewan, Canada, to provide high quality humic acid at an affordable price.
Wapaw Bay Humates Extraction Plant: Our facility for extraction of liquid humic acid from leonardite is located in the city of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada.
Leonardite Mine: Our mine is located at Wapaw Bay, Wapawekka Lake, near the town of La Ronge in the northern Saskatchewan boreal forest. The Wapaw Bay deposit is ecologically protected from above by the Wapawekka Hills Ecological Reserve, and below by Wapawekka Lake. As a result, the Wapaw Bay deposit is uncontaminated from industrial and other human activity.

Research
Over the past decades research and field trials worldwide have consistently shown that leonardite and its humic derivatives can improve yields, quality, and profits, for most crops with most soil types and climatic conditions.
Wapaw Bay Humates has concentrated its research on Canadian crops, and crops where optimal application rates and methods have not yet been established. We have sponsored trials for canola, berries, grains, vegetables, soil application, foliar application, seed coat, and soil remediation. We are committed to improve knowledge and make information gained available to our customers.
